The winning team from Nassau and Suffolk counties will move on to participate in the NYS Envirothon.

Additionally, each member of the winning team from Nassau and Suffolk County will receive a scholarship of $500!

The Envirothon competition stimulates students’ interests in environmental concerns and motivates them to further develop their skills and grow into environmentally aware, action-oriented adults.

Envirothon activities begin locally, with teams of five 9th through 12th grade students competing for their Regional Envirothon title.

Teams consist of 5 students with 1 alternate, and schools may enter more than 1 team. Teams are required to have an advisor and pay the $75 registration fee, and each team member must submit a permission slip with their application.
